Poetry for Southern California
Our dear friend Anne Silver left this earthly arena for another sunrise. We wish her well on her journey.
COVER STORY: In Memoriam for One of Southern California's Most Loved and Admired Poets - Anne Silver | by Larry Jaffe
Posted November 1, 2005
On the 19th of October, friend, fellow poet and host, Anne Silver departed this plane to rejoice in another. I have known Anne for several years. We read together and enjoyed each other's company. She was a very brave person, surviving illness and pain with always an encouraging outlook and smile for life. We shall miss her. Poetix has set up a special page for Anne so her poetry will live gallantly on our pages. Click here.
You are looking at the newly designed Poetix, streamlined and we hope more fun for you to use. It will take me some time to move our archive of interviews and columns over so please be patient.
We would like to wish our friends at poeticdiversity, especially Marie Lecrivain, a very Happy 2 Year Anniversary! They have done a great job of capturing essence of L.A. poets and their artistry. In the current issue they feature an interview with the lovely and talented Sarah Maclay, a debut Rimbaud translation by D.J. Carlile, and a double packed prose feature with Craig Murray and Daniel Olivas.
